Peruvian Tamales

It seems we’ve been having a lot of Peruvian food lately.  Tonight, we had Peruvian tamales.  They’re  a lot richer than Mexican tamales which tend to be blander.  The tamales had the usual corn masa but also had pork, peanuts, and olives.  Marita got them from a Peruvian lady at the UN.  It’s the same stuff served at Peruvian affairs.

With two tamales, you’ll be stuffed.  We were supposed to add red onions but instead we bought some salsa and limes.  They were great . . .
