Amazing 66 Restaurant

Amazing 66 is a Cantonese restaurant on Mott St (very near our favorite Wonton Garden).  We had dinner there tonight and we weren’t expecting much.  Chinese is Chinese.  The menu listed appetizers like crispy intestine (siguro parang chicharon bulaklak) and crispy duck’s tongue.  Then there was “crap fish” and “deep fried squad” :) .  We had crispy silver fish with salt and pepper which was very good.  Their salt fish and diced chicken fried rice was very good, at par with Phoenix Garden’s.  Marita liked the steamed stuffed bean curd with minced shrimp.

Kung may bisita kayo, puede na rin.  The fried flounder looked very good.  Ang lamig nga lang ng aircon.  I had to buy a sweat shirt – mabuti $10 lang.

  1. Also, across Fishion (oour massage place at Mott) is Big Wing Won has good fried rice with salted fish and chicken, and conch with vegetable like Pheonix Garden but they do not have the shrimp paste. Also beside it is Shanghai Cafe, shalongpao (hope I spelled it right) dumpling with soup inside is $6.25 for 6 pcs (that’s with crab meat anfd pork) without crabmeat is cheaper
