What’s better than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Extra chunky peanut butter with fig jam on toast. Or fig jam with stilton cheese on toast. I’ve also tried peanut butter and fig jam on pan de sal. It’s good too. It’s best to toast the pan de sal with the jam and peanut butter already on it.

Boyie just gave us some canned foie gras from his trip to Lourdes and Fatima.  So I’m going try something that I had at a Paris “fast food” place – Leon de Bruxelle.  It was foie gras with fig jam, kosher salt and toast.  I think it might also be good with some cheese on the side.  A nice cup of tea might work . . .
