It’s been a good week for this foodie. We’ve had a range of goodies from Belgian moules frites, beef stew cooked in beer and trappist beer, Swiss fondue, to Chinese shrimp omelette and pan fried noodles.
I had just posted about how I miss camaron rebosado and as luck would have it, we found it [...]

Phoenix Garden, Congee Village, Wonton Garden are old favorite comfort food places for us. I can now add Hsin Wong on Mott Street to the list. We treated Boyie, Brian and girlfriend Fanny to dinner there the other night.

We celebrated Mother’s Day at the Tasting Room, an American bistro style place on Elizabeth Street. There was nothing in the menu that was particularly interesting to me except for the guinea hen and ostrich egg omelettes. I chose the ostrich eggs (I’ve never had them) which they served with chives and sour [...]

One of my birthday gifts for Marita this year was a scent party. Picture this . . . you bring a group of friends together, have some champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries while you get a mini-lecture on how perfumes are made by a couple of attractive, young French folks, then you start smelling a variety [...]
